Hello Everyone,

We are taking this opportunity to introduce ourselves as the proud new owners of Turtle River Whitetail Outfitters. My wife Kathy and I are very excited about our venture and plan on making it even better than it has been. We have many changes we want to make and the following are a small sample of what we intend to do to make your hunts more enjoyable and even more successful.

Now I would like to inform you a little bit about myself, the area, and my hunting expertise. After prayers, careful planning and research we decided to move to Meadow Lake SK. Canada so I could find an outfitting business and enjoy chasing the monster whitetails that are available here. We moved from the United States to Canada in the summer of 2001. Once the decision to move was made and the research was done there was only one spot to be and that was the Meadow Lake area. We looked at several hunting areas for 4 years before deciding this one was exactly what I wanted. The area is southwest of Meadow Lake in the Divide Forest area which has an abundant amount of whitetail deer with excellent habitat as well. The area is accessible by quad only with no roads or outside access. It is far enough away from the surrounding towns and villages that there is virtually zero local hunting pressure. According to our wildlife managers we have an expanding deer herd that is doing excellent in this area. Information from them is available at www.se.gov.sk.ca   and can be easily researched. The area consists of pristine Canadian wilderness and is the home to a variety of animals such as moose, upland game species (ruffed grouse & spruce grouse) and snowshoe hare.

All of our equipment is modern and up to date. The lodge facilities are set up to accommodate individuals and families. We have top staff hired and once you see me you will realize Kathy is an excellent cook.

Please check the website www.bigdeer.org for our contact information which includes the new address, email, and phone numbers.

Now the part about what I consider to be the hardest which is talking about me. I do not want to come across as a bragging type person but I have accomplished a lot in the short time I have been here. My 6 largest bucks score a whopping 972 inches of antler and average 162 inches overall. Now that's something as when I moved here I did not know anyone, had no idea of where to hunt, and did not even know which road went where. I utilized proven hunting techniques that I had perfected for the last 40 odd years to accomplish this. As a young person I was bitten hard by whitetail fever and have chased them ever since. I will do for you what I have done for myself that I know works. I can not guarantee you monster whitetails but I will promise you I will have done everything in my power and to the best of my ability, with no shortcuts, for you to have the hunt and experience of a lifetime!

Thank You

Richard & Kathy Bailey
